ETHNIC: Cilantro

While it's impossible to find sushi in Akron after 2:00 P.M. it's not impossible to find good sushi before and after. Most sushi places close from 2-5 to prepare for dinner -- I get it, but it's the worst when you're craving sushi at 2:01.

Cilantro is beautiful inside. It truly looks like a highend eatery, but don't let their fancy decor scare you off. The prices are completely reasonable and considering the quality of their food, I don't mind.

I mostly go to Cilantro for their sushi, edamame, and miso soup, but they also have a huge selection of traditional thai dishes. All dishes have customizable spiciness if spice isn't your thing. It's vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free friendly.

For what it's worth, Cilantro's sushi trumps House of Hunan (which is right around the corner) by a long shot.

  1. I have never been to Cilantro so I was kinda wondering what they had and what they specialized in. Just like you, I get that sushi craving and it's cool to know that you can always get sushi at Cilantro. I'm gunna have to try it out for sure.

  2. I've been there before and didn't try the sushi. I've actually never tried sushi. But if that is avocado sushi in that picture, I'm definitely down to try that!!
